Our Story


City Satay was started on 20 May 1987 from a small shop in Bedok, east of Singapore. At that time, satay meat was manually marinated and skewered. As the business expanded, production was shifted to Tanjong Katong Road. It is also our retail outlet to provide customers with more choices and convenience.

Our production lines are now fully automated. Our investments in meat cutting and skewering machines help to eliminate manual production work and increase efficiency. Our factories are designed with hygienic facilities and processes to meet ISO9001 Quality System and HACCP food safety requirements. With these certifications, customers can be assured of quality and consistent products. With advanced technology, City Satay is able to provide customers with a range of Ready-to-Barbeque Satay, Ready-to-Eat Satay and Ready-to-Cook Satay Meat without the hassle of preparations.

At City Satay, we place great emphasis on strict quality control as we maintain the freshness and high quality standards of our products. City Satay together with our Halal certified subsidiary, City Foods Industries Pte Ltd, is the largest satay distributor in Singapore with more than 200 retailers spread over the island's hawker centres, food courts and restaurants. We also cater to hotels, country clubs, airlines, cruise ships, holiday chalets, resorts and private functions.

City Satay holds the record for the world longest satay line at 111 metre at the Singapore Food Festival
